Privacy Policy
This policy explains what PokeGPT processes when you chat with it and what is sent to the third-party AI service that generates replies.
01 — What the app does
PokeGPT is a chat app. When you send a message or a photo, the app sends that content to our server and then to OpenAI's API to generate a response. The response is returned to the app.
02 — Data we process
- Text you enter and any photo you explicitly choose or capture.
- A random device identifier stored in the device Keychain, used for conversation continuity and monthly usage limits.
- App version, device model and operating-system version for compatibility and debugging.
- IP address and basic server logs for security and abuse prevention.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar or precise location. The app does not require an account or social login.
03 — How data is used
- Generate AI responses.
- Keep recent conversation context coherent.
- Enforce free usage limits.
- Debug failures, maintain security and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data or use your messages and photos for advertising.
04 — OpenAI
Your message and any attached photo are sent to OpenAI's API solely to generate the response displayed in the app. OpenAI processes this information under its own Privacy Policy. Data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI models by default, subject to OpenAI's current API data controls.
05 — Retention and deletion
Conversation records may be stored on our server for as long as needed to maintain context, operate the service, enforce limits, investigate issues and prevent abuse. To request deletion, email us and include the approximate date you used the app and, if available, your anonymous device identifier.
06 — Security and children
We use encrypted transport and access-restricted infrastructure. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. PokeGPT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
07 — Changes and contact
